Afghanistan Elections Delayed

BBC: Karzai announces election delay

Excerpt - Afghan President Hamid Karzai has announced that parliamentary elections will be delayed as Condoleezza Rice made her first visit to the country.

President Karzai said the elections scheduled for May will take place in September due to "technical matters".

Ms Rice, the US secretary of state, said the poll would show "the Afghan people's commitment to democracy".

A bomb exploded in the southern city of Kandahar during her visit, killing five people and injuring another 32.

Comment: Not a peep of this on Cable News this morning, MSNBC and CNN that is, I flipped over at FOX for a moment, and they were covering the arrest of this person of interest in this horrible story that is going on with a missing 9 year old girl down in Florida.. sad story, but is it worthy of all day coverage?

Also, Martha Stewart makes an appeal to have her conviction overturned.

And CNN had a few moments to report about the hijacked Prisoner van this morning.

But the main story, this missing girl story.

I guess the Bush Administration has ordered the Cable News outlets not to cover the war, the election delays, the chaos over in the middle east today.

*According to Air America, Bush Choked on a Question yesterday when asked about Torture from a reporter, anyone out there see that covered on any news outlets?

I just watched the clip, you can go to c-span.org and click on 'President Bush Press Conference - and fast foward to 16:20 in the time frame and listen to the question and Bush Fumbling the answer of Bush being asked about sending suspects to countries where Torture is practice.

The Media is obviously under direction not to talk or report about this during their manipulation broadcasts.
